Intro to Ballet

Intro to Ballet Wednesdays 5:45 - 6:30
This class is designed for children six to seven years of age. Students will learn coordinated ballet movement to music. Proper ballet classroom structure will be emphasized. Students will begin learning: plies, tendus, jetes, jumps, passes, coupe, port de bras, grand battements, spring points, chasses, pas de chat, glissade, assemble, simple turns, balance, curtsey, and positions of the body.
Dress Code:
Ballet Girls – Girls are required to wear a black leotard, skin tone or pink tights, and skin tone or pink leather split sole ballet slipper. Female students should wear their hair tightly secured and styled away from the face; a neat bun is preferred.
Ballet Boys – Boys are expected to wear black shorts or pants, white socks, black or skin tone leather ballet shoes, white tank top or short sleeve shirt.
